Civil Participation

These are four principle issues to be included in basic practice of sharing the work and glory of making peace a common cause and reason:

Appreciation – Gratitude of the gifts shared in many ways to all givers and receivers acknowledges the qualities and values of all people who share unique gifts, knowledge and skills that separately and united fulfill an abundant foundation on which to build and grow.

Promote - Opportunities and invitation to discover and share the abilities and gifts in ways that are appropriate for the health and wellness of all individuals. Advocacy for self and each other begin the steps to the recognition of authentic self worth and value that can be shared in abundance.

Assist
- By providing assistance, support and education in addition to support with funds, resources and materials for work and activities of civil participation.

Share - Uniting people to share the unique and special abilities that can be integrated in many ways that can foster and enhance human potential.

"The first peace, which is the most important, is that which comes within the souls of people when they realize their relationship, their oneness with the universe and all its powers, and when they realize that at the center of the universe dwells the Great Spirit, and that this center is really everywhere, it is with in each of us." -Black Elk 1863-1950

Service-Learning

The process of learning and teaching in relationships that share an experience that is useful to participants engaged as well as to objects and purposes of study.

Experience in service learning requires groups and individuals to engage, to discover, to explore and to share account, reflect and express the values, gifts, and affirmation of how the learning and teaching is extended and simultaneously extends beneficial gains to others beyond their reason and cause as individuals.

"I had an important insight about the future. The world is going to change so fast that people and governments will not be prepared to be stewards of this change. What will save them is teaching-learning communities." – Margaret Mead, Socialist, Anthropologist, Teacher and Learner
