UPO Arbor Day 2010 in Turkey |
UPO joined with tree planters from the US Embassy and the Department of State in Turkey to plant trees in a village near Cappadocia. We are honored to have been part of this annual tree planting event and to have created international friendships here in Turkey.
Together fellow Americans, Turkish, and others from other nations planted 650 trees and demonstrated the concept of "It Takes A Village." This effort was supported by and shared with 6th Graders at McKinley Elementary School in California.
