Treasurer

Cindy Toohey-Green has lived on and off in the Santa Barbara area over the years, finally settling permanently in 1980. Her family settled here in the early 1900’s. She has been teaching for the Santa Barbara School District since 1983. Since that time, she also volunteers for various duties including, not limited to, Administrative intern, Grade Level Team Leader, PTA teacher representative, PTA treasurer and Master Teacher to numerous student teachers.

She is consistently actively involved with the community. The Santa Barbara Softball Club is an organization that Ms. Toohey-Green serves on the Board of Directors. The organization has prepared direction for Adult Softball and currently administrates the leagues for Elings Park. She has been the director of a softball tournament that supplies toys during the holidays to low-income families in Santa Barbara for twelve years. For the past five years she has been the co-director of the Manny Deras Memorial Softball Tournament that brings teams from all over the state to the city of Santa Barbara.

Two additional non-profit organizations she serves as a member of the Board of Directors is Rayven’s Kids and the Santa Barbara Y.M.C.A. The first provides scholarships for underprivileged youth to participate in recreational sports programs in the city of Ojai. Y.M.C.A. the second, provides programs from preschool to elders. At this time she also is serving on the Y.M.C.A. financial development committee as well as the yearly Campaign for Youth to raise scholarship money to provide a wide variety of programs at reduced or no cost to underprivileged children.
